FTC TUNNEL TRAINING...

The Freefly Training Center has been using wind tunnel training from the start, recognizing the limitless benefits.
If you're just starting out than this is your ticket to fast and effective learning, allowing all flyers to advance much faster and become much more proficient in every aspect of three-dimensional flight.

Understanding the cause and effect of the relative wind is one of the most important aspects of learning skydiving. The tunnel allows you to focus on building a basic relationship with the air, free of normal skydive distractions such as "looking bad", not being there, break off, pulling, canopy flying and landing, etc. Building muscle memory and air deflection skills for 2 minutes or more at a time helps in improving freeflying so that the flyer can utilize what they have learned in the most effective way during their normal skydive.

Working inside the tunnel gives you a true understanding of vertical and horizontal movement, using the walls and tunnel coaches as references. Where ten feet is usually a lot of movement in the air, one foot turns into a lot in the tunnel. As you "play" with the air in the tunnel, you will learn advanced awareness of the air that surrounds you, along with building on other key elements of skydiving, such as communication and endurance.

All positions of freeflight can be worked on in the tunnel from belly flying to head up and head down. This training will advance every flyer to the next level.
